Hello 4S and welcome to our Wiki page which you will be using throughout the year for a range of activities. Please be patient with Mrs Sierak while she navigates her way through the ways to use our Wiki and learn more too! You all have your own page within the 4S Wiki where you will post your answers, responses and complete activities set for you. Remember you can only write on your own page. If you write, comment or edit someone else's page, I will remove you from our Wiki and I don't want to have to do that!

Now the first thing I want you to do is to become a member of this Wiki. To do this you need to, log in ( using your information from last year). This is your cases number and your email password. Then you search hsierak and request membership. Try this but also I will show you all again next week. I will then receive an email and allow you to become a member of our Wiki page.

Hello 4S and welcome to your very own Wikispace! This is a place where you can communicate to your classmates and of course Mrs Sierak! There are a few things you need to remember when you are using the Wikispace and they are: - Be careful what you post on your page. Everyone can see it once it's saved. - Do not use this space as a place to bully or harras others. This is a safe environment where we encourage each other. - Only post on your own page. The home page is for Mrs Sierak to use and set activities. You can use your page to respond to the activity.
Mrs Sierak and Ms De Bono recieve emails when changes have been made to the Wiki. If the wrong thing has been done, you will be removed from the Wiki.
Enjoy learning how to use the Wiki and the new skills you will gain from it!

Ø Answer the questions on your own page and in full sentences. Copy the questions (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) them on to your own page.
1. What do you think the statement ‘completely cleared him out’ means?
2. Why did Bryce give the elderly people loaves of bread for free?
3. Do you think this is an act of kindness? Why/ why not?
4. Why did Bryce see it as his right to give away bread to the needy?
5. We don’t see many people like Bryce these days. Using bullet points, list some of these special qualities Bryce had.

I am looking forward to another great session with you this week. In this session, I am going to show you how to put a link on to your page, upload a file and hopefully make a doppel! There is lots to get through but I am sure you will all listen carefully so we can get it done!
TIP OF THE WEEK: Don't forget that the first thing you need to do to make changes to your page is to click EDIT.
Sorry I won't be taking your ICT lesson today 4S but here are the steps to complete the task for today:
To add a link to your page you need to do the following: - Open a new tab ( click the box next to hsierak - home) - Go to the Mathletics site. - Copy the link ( Ctrl + C) - Go back to your Wiki and click EDIT - Look at the editing toolbar nad find the Link button - Click Link and then select External Link - Paste the Mathletics link into the address box. (Ctrl + V) - In the box above, you need to explain what the link is. So, for Mathletics you might type Click here to visit Mathletics. It needs to be sensible. - When you have done that, click Add Link and it should appear on your page. - Click Save and test it out!
Once you have added Mathletics, you can add two of your own to your page. Think about your favourite sport team, TV Show etc.
- To add your doppel, you need to log in at www.doppelme.com - Grab the quick code of your doppel and make sure you copy the whole code. - Head back to your Wikispace and make sure you are on your page. - Click edit - Click Widget on the edit toolbar - Click Other HTML on the left (the last one) - Paste in the code. It should be just over two lines long. - Save - Your doppel should be on your page!
